When I first started this blog, I had intentions of only writing occasionally. But, today I am posting my second posts in as many days. I think mainly because this has been a year filled with such emotions - good and not so good. Many things have happened this year that have been heart wrenching. Times have been difficult. Family matters with changes in situations have been heartbreaking. But, in the midst of all these things, one thing has been learned by me - the importantance of praise.
Although there have been many days that have brought tears of sadness, there have been such wonderful days that have brought tears of joy. I have published two poetry books this year filled with inspiration - the inspiration and source of hope that has carried me through all the hard times. I have prayed with wonderful people that were touched by the words written within. It has opened doorways to have conversations about my faith, allowing me to share the God that I know. I have started yet another poetry book, another fiction book and a non-fiction one as well.
It seems I am ever learning about the God that I know. I am constantly and consistently amazed by His works within my life. I am kept humbled by seeing His strength and power overcome circumstances that seem so unimaginable to overcome.
God is so good....even though I am a writer, there are no words to express the emotions that flow within me about how wonderful God is. Yet, He has given me the desire to try to express, with words, His wonderful love toward us. I wonder, at times, if I am writing just for myself. Many times what I write about is the sermon that I need for the moment. It is these moments that I have to push aside my keyboard....when no words are left.....and can do nothing but give Him praise.
