Some things we go through are harder than others. None of us are immune to difficult circumstances whether it be the lost of a loved one, loss of a job, illness, arguments, struggling with our children to raise them right or difficult financial situations. Everyone faces these types of things - including myself.
There are many different ways we can handle these things. Some turn inward to themselves trying desperately to solve the problem. Others look to those around them to help. Some just give up. And, for others it brings out their determination to make it to the other side. Every emotion fills our mind when we feel lost and not in control. We feel uslessness, beaten, worthless, fearful and abandoned. I could go on and on...
But, the great thing is, we don't have to have contol. Truth be told, we never had control anyway. We are told to be content in all things and situations. We can rely in the assurance that God is in control - from the tiniest to the most enormous things in our lives. All we need to do is put our trust in Him - and that is something that is in our contol. It's a decision, no a committment, we make as to how we will handle all situations in our lives. So, instead of looking to a friend, a job, a spouse or family member, we should be looking to God to solve our problems. No one or nothing else has control - only God.
If you fall short of your decision to let go of your problems and let God handle them - re-group. Pray. Ask for forgiveness for your non-belief. But, one important thing about that - when you are praying, ask for comfort and peace while you are wating on God. Take a deep breath. And, be still and know that He is God and that He is in control. Because, when you are trying to take control, God cannot. It is in unwaivering faith and knowing that God is working where the power to overcome resides.
